Official Lunkerblog Review: Eye of the Beast

Another Scifi Original Movie, this time starring James VanDer Beek. The story is straight foreward, a Giant Squid is killing people in a lake. Thats right a lake. The town looks like a seaside town around the eastern shore of Canada, but they keep telling us its a lake. The hottie sheriff knows there is a giant "Lake Monster" out there killing people; however, no one in town believes her. Van Der Beeks character Dan LeLand works for some government agency called N.O.R.A. and he is there to investigate why the fishing is so bad. Eventually enough body parts wash ashore to convince the local fisherman that its time to go Giant Squid fishing.
As Fishing movies go, Lunkerblog gives EYE OF THE BEAST (5) out of (5) Stars for the simple fact that we love Giant Squid and love em even more when they are eating people.
