Hemmingway said anybody can be a fisherman in May, but that crusty drunk wasn't snook fishing. If he had, he probably would have gone insane when he was 30. Its lunker season, and that means its time to get rid of the bass rods and bust out with the bridge tackle. I've never understood why some snookdogs insist on using 12lb to catch lunker snook. Sharks and Dolphin and damn near every other predator above the snook in the food chain likes eating snook, including 'necks. So get the bitch snooks to the boat and release em unharmed. Lunkerblog does not condone any downgrading of the way people hold fish for photos, but has no problem with somebody politely pointing out the way to hold fish. Whatever. My point is, if you are gonna fish for lunkers, get em to the boat green, otherwise a T-head may gnaw on em.
